Departure: Siem Reap

@ 7:00 AM-Depart from Siem Reap: Meet your guide and driver at your hotel in Siem Reap. Enjoy the scenic drive through Cambodian countryside as you head toward Beng Mealea, about 68 kilometers from Siem Reap. During the ride, your guide will share insight into the temples' history and culture significance. 

@ 9:00 AM- Arrive at Beng Mealea Temple: Explore Beng Mealea Temple, often called the "Jungle Temple" Beng Mealea is a sprawling, overgrown ruin largely overtaken by nature. This temple, built during the Angkor War Era, is know for it's atmosphiric ruins and mysterious, collapsed hallways.

@ 10:30 AM- Deparute for Koh Ker: Continue the journey to Koh Ker, approximately an hour's drive from Beng Mealea. Koh Ker, once the capital of the Khmer Empire, offers a different experience from the temple near Angkor Wat. 

@ 11:30 AM- Arrive at Koh Ker Temple Complex: Visit Prasat Thom. We start with Prasat Thom, a majestic seven-tiered pyramid that towers above the jungle. Climb to the top for panoramic views of the surroundings landscape- it's one of the most unique sights in Cambodia. Then we are going to explore other temples in Koh Ker complex including Prasat Krohom, know for its impressive red sandstone carvings, and Prasat Pram, where tree roots wrap around the ruins. Wander through lesser-known temples, each with its unique character and beauty.

@ 1:00 PM- Lunch Break at Local Restaurant: Stop a the nearby local restaurant for a traditional Cambodian meal. Enjoy dishes like Amok, a coconut milk-based curry, and other Khmer specialties.

@ 2:00 PM- Continue exploring Koh Ker: After lunch, visit some of the more remoted and less-explore temples within Koh Ker, such as Prasat Linga, with its ancient stone lingams. During the visit your guide will share fascinating stories about Koh Ker's role as Khmer Empire's capital and explain the symbolism of the temples' architecture and carvings.

@ 3:30 PM- Depart Koh Ker and head back to Siem Reap: After a day of exploration, settle in for a comfortable drive back to Siem Reap. Take this time to reflect on the unique temples you've experience and enjoy the peaceful countryside. 

@ 5:30 PM- Return to Siem Reap: Arrive back in Siem Reap in the early evening, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel, marking the end of your adventure to Beng Mealea and Koh Ker.
