There are few places in Southeast Asia that are as family-friendly as Siem Reap. A great variety of activities, some great traffic-free cycling and comfortable and family-friendly accommodation make this a great cycling tour for any family or private group.

We start with the sunrise over Angkor. We visit iconic temples and lesser-known points via back trails away from the crowds. On country roads, we will meet locals and learn about Cambodian village life and taste some great Cambodian snacks. We end at the floating village at Tonle Sap lake.

We offer Merida & Giant hardtail (front suspension only) mountain bikes in a full range of sizes. Lockable suspension forks available for the smoother surfaces. A comfortable saddle with a women’s specific version is available, and we provide handlebar bags for your personal effects. Child seats, tag-along bikes and kids bikes in all sizes are available.

Please inquire about rates and group sizes available.

Day 1: Arrive in Siem Reap

You will be greeted on arrival by a driver and taken to your centrally located hotel. Your guide will meet you to discuss the trip ahead, to fit your bikes, and to begin the adventure — with authentic Cambodian food!

Day 2: Angkor Sunrise Discovery 25km

Start early and get a big reward — the sunrise from behind the most important religious monument in Cambodia, Angkor Wat. It is the best time of day to see this magnificent structure and explore the grounds and interior in the cool of the morning. A delicious breakfast spread is only a short pedal away.

We then continue through the Angkor Park on back trails through the forest. We take in the temples of the Bayon, Ta Prom and then a few lesser-known temples, all the while avoiding the main throng. As the day heats up, we sit down to lunch, overlooking the reservoirs Sra Srang. Then it’s a short ride in the car or tuk tuk back to the hotel for an evening to explore on your own.

Day 3: Countryside Cycle 30km

We make an early start to the countryside, where we’ll see Cambodian village life and stop and talk with the people, who will tell us about their lives. We ride on trails only wide enough for a bicycle and unpaved back roads. We stop at a modern-day temple and then ride along the levees of the West Baray, one of two huge reservoirs constructed to irrigate the rice fields of the Angkor Kingdom, its key to success. We enjoy a picnic lunch in the shade and rest in hammocks.

Day 4: Tonle Sap cycling tour

You must not leave Siem Reap without visiting Tonle Sap. Each year, this huge body of water swells thanks to the flow of the connected Mekong River. The lake is home to not only hundreds of species of fish, but also to many floating communities. Take a boat ride, then peddle through the neighborhoods. After a paddle around the community and the nearby mangroves, we take a short visit to the open lake area. Return in time for lunch. A car or tuk tuk will be ready to return you to the airport.
